The new Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre was built to replace the Royal Exhibition Building and is located in Southbank, Melbourne, Victoria.
Designed by Australian Architecture firm Denton Corker Marshall (DCM), the project was opened in 1996. In 2005, DCM was appointed State Architect for Victoria.
